We recognise the importance of identifying workplace risks, maintaining safe systems of work and ensuring employees receive appropriate information, supervision and training relevant to their role.
Safety is considered an essential part of how Excelerate Ltd operates, both internally and when supporting customer sites, machinery installations and engineering activities.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for health and safety within Excelerate Ltd sits with Tina Kitchener, Founder & Group Managing Director.
Responsibility for implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures is shared across management and operational leadership where appropriate.
- Ensuring safe working practices are maintained.
- Identifying and controlling workplace risks.
- Providing appropriate supervision and training.
- Maintaining safe handling procedures for products and equipment.
- Supporting accident prevention and workplace wellbeing.
- Reviewing health and safety procedures periodically.
All employees, contractors and persons working with Excelerate Ltd are expected to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others affected by their activities.
Training and competence
Excelerate Ltd aims to ensure employees receive appropriate information, instruction and training relevant to their responsibilities and operational activities.
- Induction and role-specific training.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Safe equipment operation where applicable.
- Workplace and operational safety guidance.
- Ongoing review of training requirements.
Training records and relevant documentation are maintained internally where appropriate.
Equipment, substances and workplace safety
Equipment, plant and operational processes are monitored and maintained appropriately to support safe working practices.
Where applicable, COSHH assessments and other safety controls may be implemented to support safe handling, storage and use of relevant materials or substances.

- Appropriate maintenance and inspection procedures.
- Responsible storage and handling practices.
- Identification and management of operational risks.
Accidents, incidents and reporting
Employees and contractors are encouraged to report accidents, near misses, hazards or safety concerns as soon as reasonably possible.
Where required, incidents may be investigated and appropriate corrective actions implemented to reduce future risk and support continuous improvement.
Where legally applicable, RIDDOR reporting procedures will be followed.
Fire safety and emergency procedures
Excelerate Ltd maintains appropriate fire safety awareness, emergency procedures and workplace evacuation arrangements relevant to the nature and scale of the business.
- Maintaining accessible fire exits and escape routes.
- Monitoring relevant fire safety equipment.
- Supporting workplace emergency awareness.
- Reviewing emergency procedures where appropriate.
Review and continuous improvement
Excelerate Ltd will periodically review health and safety procedures, workplace risks and operational practices to help maintain safe and responsible working standards.
